Our approach
We aim to make this website usable by care home staff with different access needs, using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA as a reference. This is an accessibility statement about the current website. It is not a claim of certified or complete conformance.
Reading and navigating
- Use your browser’s zoom and text settings to enlarge the content.
- Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move between links and controls, with a visible focus indicator.
- Use the “Skip to content” link at the start of the page to reach the main information.
- Open the mobile menu with its labelled button and press Escape to close it.
- Follow page headings and text descriptions alongside useful images.
Pages adapt to smaller screens and respect your device’s reduced-motion preference. You can read the main information without JavaScript. Interactive tools, such as the leak symptom selector and the area search, need JavaScript.
